From November 25th to December 1st, 2023, a group of 12 visitors comprising 10 journalists, 2 officials from Sri Lankan Airlines, and Gebeco staff explored Sri Lanka with Aitken Spence Travels.
The tour kicked off with visits to Dambulla’s cave temples and the iconic Sigiriya Rock. The journey continued through Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Yala National Park, concluding in Galle.
The group engaged with local communities, tasted Sri Lankan cuisine, and experienced the island’s biodiversity.
The FAM tour not only highlighted the country’s diverse offerings but also fostered connections between industry professionals. As participants returned from this enriching journey, armed with firsthand experiences and captivating stories, the ripple effect on promoting Sri Lanka as a travel destination is bound to be significant. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of a destination and fostering collaboration within the travel industry.
