Today (26th of Feb 2020) FitsAir landed its ATR for the 1st time in Mattala Rajapaksa Hambantota Airport as an initiative to uplift the Domestic operations in Sri Lanka.
So today the ATR flew from Rathmalana airport to Mattala with AASL officials and with the Sri Lankan cricket fans who participated for the todays day & night match between West Indies and Sri Lanka.
Mattala Airport team is woking hard to bring back the airport to its functions.As per the airport officials, they are in a discussion to bring International airlines back to Mattala Airport Sri Lanka.
