E- trikes on behalf of the BMICH
A fleet of four electric three wheelers powered by solar energy was deployed for the use of visitors to the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) recently.
These electric three wheelers, called E- trikes, are part of the Korean Energy Agency’s assistance to Sri Lanka provided through the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority of the Ministry of Power and Energy.
The project was designed to utilise the existing solar PV installation at the BMICH to operate an electric vehicle charging station.
The four E- trikes will be initially used to provide in-compound transport for visitors as the BMICH is a facility which spans a large extent of land.
