The Sri Lanka pavilion at the International Tourism Exhibition in the India International Travel Mart, India’s premier travel and tourism exhibition in Bangalore, was inaugurated on 27 July. Tourism Development Minister John Amaratunga visited the Sri Lanka pavilion on 28 July and launched the Ramayana Yathra official website. The Minister also had the opportunity to meet with senior Indian travel industry personnel and the media, as well as listened to the Sri Lankan travel representatives on the opportunities available to increase the number of Indian visitors to Sri Lanka. Tourism Ministry Monitoring MP Harshana Rajakaruna, Deputy High Commissioner to India Krishnamoorthy, Tourism Ministry Advisor Felix Rodrigo, Sri Lanka Tourism Assistant Directors Jevana Fernando and Viranga Bandara, and Dinesh Weerakkody also participated at the event.
