The Sri Lankan airport namely the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) will be partially closed from the 06th January – 06th April 2017 due to runway upgrade. Kindly note that flight operations will not take place from 0830am – 1630hrs during this period of time. The airport will be operating only after 16.30hrs.
Due to the above, in anticipation of probable delays at the Airport, we wish to remind you of the following in order to avoid any inconveniences at the BIA.
- Check in for all airlines will commence 5 hours before departure of the flight. Hence please report to airport 5 hours before departure.
- Check in counters will close 90 minutes before the departure of the flight. This is applicable for Business and First Class passengers as well.
- Airlines are requesting for Passengers to check in online.
- Passengers travelling on SriLankan Airlines Business Class will enjoy Silk Route facilities and be entitled for Fast Track.
Kindly consider the above favorably and make sure you reach the airport five (05) hours before your designated departure time. For any clarifications please contact your airline partner for advice.
