Sri Lanka’s leading hospitality operator Jetwing is to officially open its newest hotel in former war-torn town Jaffna on April 3, Jetwing Chairman Hiran Cooray said.
The seven-storey hotel has 55 luxury rooms with all the amenities the modern traveller requires. Cooray said along with Jetwing Jaffna, the company would be opening four more hotels in various parts of the country this year.
Jetwing will be opening its first hotel in the capital Colombo this year and is also slated to open one in Dambulla, near the cave temple.
The hotel chain also has entered into agreements to manage two more properties in Panadura and Pothuvil, which are scheduled to open this year. The hotel in Panadura is owned by a Chinese company and the one in Pothuvil by two local investors, Cooray said.
Jetwing currently operates more than 25 resort hotels and villa properties in Sri Lanka.
